Nail biting time

Day 2 in Vancouver and 5ish days until we fly out to Australia. I made the tough choice of opting out of nail polish for this week to avoid having scraggly chipped nails over the week. Bad decision because without gross tasting polish to stop my nibbling I have torn off almost the entirety of them. Guess I’m not coping as well as I assumed. That and the dreaded food anxiety has finally kicked in.

Food anxiety you ask? Being someone who has suffered with sometimes debilitating anxiety over long periods of my life I have learned to maintain staunch control over my emotions as a survival mechanism per-say. When things are particularly difficult I develop something called “food anxiety”. Basically, eating distracts me and let’s the anxiety I am keeping under wraps through. Well this finally kicked yesterday. Easily corrected of course by eating small meals frequently, before the anxiety has a chance to start, but annoying nonetheless.

Our week is filling up pretty fast with our Saturday and Sunday booked full and our Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday nights being full of dinners. Apparently people will actually miss us!
This will defiantly make the week fly by and keeping busy is always a good idea.
